The Collapse Before Reconstruction
If you feel like your entire life is falling apart bit by bit, you’re likely experiencing a spiritual collapse. Along this journey, you will lose people, places, and things that you wanted to hold onto forever. Every layer of healing brings new challenges that facilitate your transformation into the next version of yourself. Every time you choose yourself and your personal growth, you will inevitably be forced to let go of all of your behaviors and patterns that are no longer serving you. You must shed your old self and everything you’re desperately clinging to before you can step fully into who you’re meant to be. We tend to hold onto our comfort zones in life whether they’re serving us or not because our nervous systems are dysregulated by change. It is imperative to overcome the instinct to hunker down and wish endlessly for a different life without modifying your behavior and choices. We must enact the necessary changes in order to initiate a shift into the direction of our desires.
Our spirit guides will often push us to the brink emotionally in any given situation until we eventually break free and decide to make lasting change that benefits our growth. If you’re a cycle breaker, you decided coming into this life that you wanted to accomplish a certain level of growth and healing before you were born. You mapped out a plan and made agreements with other souls to help you reach the finish line and each step in between. You prepared for this in every way possible, but you still have to execute the plan in the flesh. You are in the driver seat of your life, and until you fully realize and accept that, you’ll give the external too much power over your decisions and behavior. Once you see this truth, you can’t turn back, and that is part of the reason it’s so scary to take that first step toward your growth. The growth is intertwined with pain, and that can be intimidating and discouraging at times.
It’s essential to take our healing and growth at our own pace and be mindful of our limits mentally and emotionally for this reason. We must center our health in all facets in order to keep ourselves on track with our healing journey, and part of that process is prioritizing your rest time. If we neglect our need to recharge, it becomes impossible for us to integrate the healing work that we’ve been doing. Allowing yourself to rest in between heavy lessons and challenging tests of your faith, integrity, and self-trust is essential to avoid burnout, depression, and overwhelming anxiety. Once you become conscious of your spiritual work and the ebbs and flows of your energy, it is impossible to ignore your need for rest without adverse effects and delays along your path. Rest is equally as important as taking inspired action because it ensures that you’ll have the energy that is necessary for your next big step forward.
If your internal or external experiences (or both) are collapsing right now, it is a sure sign that your next growth opportunity is right around the corner. There is something standing in between you and this next step on your path, and it must be dealt with in order to move forward. It is necessary to feel all of your emotions around this subject and find a way to move through your emotions and release them from your body. If you can be gentle with yourself as you navigate this process, you’ll be able to surrender and move through the feelings and your current circumstances as easefully as possible. The most important thing to remember is that it won’t always be this difficult. When you’re in the middle of the storm, you just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other until it passes. Sometimes that looks like taking action, and other times it looks like resting and feeding your soul.
This emotional storm will pass, and you’ll be stronger than you’ve ever been on the other side of it. The highs and lows of life are all essential to the path, and your soul growth can’t be fulfilled without each hill and valley. Accepting that the difficulties and pain are part of the journey can help you surrender fully to the present moment and allow your body to heal itself. Everything is temporary in this life, but we get to choose how long we stay stuck and how quickly we pick ourselves up and move forward. We get to repeat the cycles as many times as we choose, and we continue to go deeper into them until we eventually reach the bottom and break free forevermore. You deserve that freedom, and you can make a commitment to yourself each day to progress toward a freer you with each action you take and choice that you make. You’re worth it, and the future that feels lighter and more fulfilled is too.
