Balance & Receptivity
Achieving a state of balance is beneficial for us in so many ways. When we’re feeling unbalanced it can be difficult to remain grounded, centered, and receptive to our journey and our blessings. Cultivating balance within acts as a catalyst of change for the better in our lives, and sometimes that change can feel messy at first. If you’ve been feeling called to seek inner peace and balance lately, it could come with a tidal wave of destruction of everything that’s no longer serving you, which is a jarring experience. It seems counterintuitive that coming into alignment with your inner peace could trigger a death and rebirth cycle in your life, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need in order to clear out the old energy and welcome the new. Sometimes receiving what you truly need means losing what you thought you wanted along the way.
Receptivity is a result of coming into balance with your inner self because reflects our natural state of being. There are many things in this world that exacerbate imbalances in our bodies and energetic fields, and we’re constantly facing these agitating presences and experiences. We must find ways to navigate this barrage of frustrations in order to find balance within despite these external factors. Once you decide to call your power back and work to heal your triggers and reactions to these external situations, you can allow yourself to be unbothered by the state of your environment. The ability to find balance no matter what’s happening around you gives you the power to remain in your own energy even when you’re steeped in chaos that you can’t control.
It’s impossible to remain balanced at all times, but we have the ability to grow our capacity for resilience. We can work to shorten the time frame that we’re emotionally affected by these external circumstances. There will always be obstacles along our path and triggering experiences, but we can find ways to navigate them from a calm and centered place after allowing ourselves to experience our initial reaction. This step is important because feeling powerful emotions is an integral part of the human experience. The most effective way to cope is by allowing ourselves to feel our emotions in the moment and process them as they occur. Bypassing them or avoiding the feeling process causes stagnation and imbalance in the physical body as well as the energetic field.
Avoiding emotional processing causes blocks to form in our energetic body, which contributes to illness and the sensation of feeling stuck in our physical body. Feeling our emotions and dealing with them in the moment prevents these blockages from occurring, and allows us to regain our balance after a triggering situation. Finding coping strategies that work well for you is invaluable to streamline this process and make it much easier to sit with these emotions in the moment. There are lots of options such as going for a nature walk, EFT tapping, breathwork, yoga, grounding exercises, listening to Solfeggio Frequencies, or practicing guided meditation. Find what works best for you and create a short list of them to reference when you’re feeling dysregulated. You know yourself best, and trying them out will help you find your favorite methods.
If you feel like your blessings are being blocked or delayed in this moment, I would encourage you to focus your energy on finding this state of balance and inner peace. This state of grounded calmness allows your body to truly rest, and it brings your nervous system out of fight or flight mode. This shift in consciousness opens us up energetically, allowing us to integrate our inner wisdom and sit in receptive energy, which calls in our blessings and brings us into alignment with our highest good. You deserve to feel good in your body and in your daily life, and pursuing a state of balance will help you to do that with greater consistency regardless of what might be happening in your life. Once we surrender to our emotional experience, we can find ways to feel our emotions and let them go rather than holding them in our bodies and remaining stagnant. This is the difference between riding the wave and being swept away by it.
