Trusting Your Path
Each person’s life path is filled with twists and turns and unexpected events that ultimately shape our existence and who we become. We often try to plan out every phase of our lives with precision to ensure that we end up where we want to be, but this is an impossible task. Your life path is expertly crafted and planned by your higher self before you breathe life into your human body. Once we arrive in the physical world, we completely forget the plan and our higher self’s identity. This is an integral part of the human experience, and there’s no way around these parameters, at least early in life. In order to introduce a sense of ease and flow in our lives, it’s important to develop trust and surrender to allow the path to unfold naturally rather than fighting the journey itself at every turn.
If you hold belief in a deity or a group of deities, you can grow this trust with them and surrender to their guidance and assistance in this life. If you prefer to interact with your own energy instead, you might choose to place this trust in your higher self. If you haven’t developed a clear connection with your higher self, you can place your trust in the path itself, knowing that you will be led where you’re meant to go by unseen forces. Regardless of how you live or worship, the end result of attaining surrender and inner peace is achievable by whatever means you choose. We are all given many choices in our lives, and they are for you and no one else to make. If you choose to pursue soul growth and breaking out of patterns that aren’t serving you, you must find a way to accept your life circumstances and understand that they aren’t entirely under your control.
Planning every part of our lives in advance is a control mechanism that we use to give ourselves a sense of safety and security. If you can let go of your ideal future that you’ve planned in your head, you can begin to take intentional steps toward the destiny that you chose before you stepped into this body. If you can trust that everything in your life happens for a reason, and that every experience is brining you closer to the future that’s meant for you, you can begin to release this control and find contentment in the life you’re living right now. Achieving this level of detachment is required to step into alignment with your highest good and your best possible outcomes in life, even if they don’t look exactly how you imagined them.
As humans, we think we know exactly what we want at all times. We think we’re the absolute expert on ourselves and we feel that we know what’s best for us in every way. In comparison to other people, I would say this is true; however, your higher self and your guidance team have a different vantage point, and they have more information than you do about the goals that you set out to accomplish in this lifetime. Your life plan was set in motion by your higher self, and the negative experiences in your life were part of this plan. On the other side, spirits don’t differentiate between positive and negative experiences because that concept is subjective, and it’s determined by our outlook from our human perspective. All of your experiences are necessary and important events on your life path, and we must accept the good and the bad in order to move forward.
Trusting in your life path means that you are able to fully accept everything that has happened to you your entire life, and this process is complete once you’re able to surrender to life itself and eliminate any internal resistance to your external experience. We must realize that we are not the victim of our circumstances, and that even the negative experiences benefit us in the long run. If we can stop fixating on everything that supposedly went wrong, we can open ourselves up to the new experiences we’re meant to have in the future. We must find a way to heal from our pasts and live in the present moment in order to achieve balance and come into alignment with our highest future possibilities. Accepting your life as it is presented is key to moving forward on your soul’s journey with ease and flow. Once you stop fighting the current of life, it will carry you into your future one moment at a time.
