Success can be fleeting. If we are spending all of our time and energy straining ourselves in pursuit of a goal, we can get discouraged by the many failures that occur every day. Every moment is a new opportunity to take a step in the direction of our desires. Success is a desire that we tend to chase, but we fail to realize how quickly our circumstances can change moment to moment. Miracles only take a second to occur because they are divinely guided events. When a miracle occurs, we are protected from any of the negative outcomes that could have happened instead. Things fall into place at the right time, and it’s like we’ve suddenly reached a checkpoint in our journey.
When we’re exactly where we’re meant to be at the right time, we get a little reward from the universe in that moment to celebrate our achievement. I find that it’s helpful for me to think of life as a video game, and this allows me to just live moment to moment making the best decisions I can in my current circumstances. I believe that we all have a team of guides who are helping us navigate this landscape, and we can hear them through our internal guidance system that exists in our heart space. I think sometimes we can put the weight of our successes and failures on ourselves as if they are completely in our control, and that’s not a fair representation of the equation. We all have to navigate our external circumstances and blockages, and we have lessons to learn along the way that require difficulties and challenges to occur.
Everything can change for the better at any moment, and sometimes we have to visit rock bottom to reset ourselves and get rid of anything that is unnecessary for the next stage of our journey. Growth can come from grief if you are able to process it and find the courage and self awareness to see the opportunity to level up. Success is a mindset that you must nurture and encourage within your own heart every day. Make time to meditate and focus on everything you currently have that you are grateful for; this can help keep your mind and heart in the same place regarding your personal progress.
We also have to give ourselves grace when we inevitably fail, so that we can accept our personal best as a success on a daily basis. This also allows us to expect the very best out of ourselves each day, while also appreciating the fact that the output will never be consistent. Are you offering yourself your best every day? Living on autopilot is tempting, but personal growth and doing your inner work are valuable. Are you giving yourself the necessary time and attention that you need to move forward? Give yourself the love you would want to receive from someone else. Go the extra mile for yourself. It’ll be worth it.
