Reclaiming Your Power
There are many demands draining our power in this world, and we’re under a lot of pressure concerning how we should allocate our energy in daily life. Our society is structured to strip us of our power through systematic programming and socio-economic obstacles in order to pressure us into striving to prove our worth and justify our existence. We have all had times in our lives where our power and strength have been tested by circumstances, and we’ve had to summon and stand in our power in order to continue moving forward. Our energy is a valuable commodity, and the system will do anything to harness it. This is why our worth and value are often measured by our productivity. In order to reclaim your power from this system, you must realize that your worth doesn’t depend on your output.
We must collectively break out of the mindset that we must center our lives around production and amassing wealth in order to achieve a higher social status. This mindset keeps us focused on the external for survival instead of turning inward to tap in with our innate consciousness to achieve personal growth and evolution. Looking to the left and right to see if you’re keeping up with your peers is a drain on your power because it siphons your energy and it draws your attention away from your own work. We’re all working on something mentally, emotionally, and spiritually whether we realize it or not. Once you start paying attention to the signs and following the path of self-development, you can do this work with intention and reverence. Making this shift has the potential to change your life simply because you’re approaching life itself differently.
If your attention is focused on yourself and what you need to develop in this moment, your growth becomes accelerated, and your healing becomes deeper. This process helps you to become a more authentic version of yourself naturally because you’re no longer trying to measure up to societal standards. If you stop chasing sameness, you will eventually find your unique flavor that can’t be replicated by anyone else on the planet. Truly seeing yourself in this way is the key to unlocking your greatest potential and your strongest self. Once you see yourself for all that you are, the temptation to become like others is diminished because you can finally appreciate yourself fully. This mindset shift can also help you to find genuine connections with others who will celebrate you as a person. These connections are so freeing because both of you are being authentic, which prevents your interactions from feeling energetically draining.
Living for yourself also helps to eliminate people pleasing tendencies because you no longer value the opinions of others over your own. There’s no need to keep others happy at your expense when you’re aware of your own divinity. Developing a deeper connection to yourself eliminates the need to maintain superficial connections with others who are using you to serve them mentally and emotionally. Personal growth is what truly sets you free from social pressure and manipulative people. People who truly appreciate you for who you are don’t require you to betray your own heart in order to be close to them. Connection without attachment is possible once you’re no longer clinging to a false identity to fit in with the crowd. When your attention and focus are centered on becoming the best version of yourself, you’ve reclaimed your power from the race to get ahead. You weren’t sent here to race to a finish line where only a few people are considered winners. You were born because this world needed you in the fullness of your personal expression. You are worthy and valuable inherently, and you deserve to shine.
