Trust Fall

When the universe asks you to make big moves, it’s often because you’re embarking on a level up in your life. The fear can grip us in that moment before we jump into the next phase of our lives, and that intimidation can lead to delays when we allow our doubts to cloud our judgment. I find that I have the best luck in my life when I make decisions from a heart-centered place, and sometimes it can be a challenge to quiet my overactive mind in order to find myself there. Lately, I’ve been feeling like the universe is asking me to jump, so I’ve been responding with the loudest, “How high?” I can muster. However, I finally came to the realization that the universe wasn’t asking me to jump. It was asking me to perform a trust fall instead, which is scarier somehow.
The anticipation that we feel before making a big leap into the unknown is palpable. The fear rises in you continually until you find a burst of bravery that’s big enough to overcome it. A trust fall requires a quieter approach, and it involves sinking deeper into the core of our being to summon our faith. We must find inner peace and stillness to achieve the level of faith necessary to turn our back to the outcome and allow ourselves to plummet backward into the unknown. There’s no opportunity to look out below at where we’re headed, and we have no confidence that we might land on our feet when we arrive at the bottom. A trust fall requires quietude and blind faith that we will land where we should at the most opportune moment, and that a greater force will guide our decent and help us land safely.
Finding stillness is impossible when you’re busy assessing threats and trying to mitigate the damage. Hyper vigilance must be left behind on the path of trust. Bravery that comes from a place of survival and self-preservation isn’t strong enough to hold you in this pursuit. You must sink into your inner knowing at the very base of your being and believe that you will be okay no matter what happens. Even if things don’t go to plan and even when you feel defeated, you must find the courage to hope against any odds. Trusting in the divine plan means that you believe you can come back from anything. You have to see that there’s nothing in this world that can break your soul or retract from your wholeness. Every hit that you absorb cracks you open to allow for a greater understanding of who you are and is an opportunity to heal deeper layers of yourself. These fractures give you the chance to purge anything that doesn’t belong, and they facilitate your inner growth and soul expansion.
When you find yourself spinning your wheels, and you know you’ve given your all to a situation in your life, sometimes the only thing left to do is to let go. If you feel like you’ve been jumping continuously for ages, perhaps it’s time to allow your mind, body, and spirit to rest. There is peace to be found in that moment when you decide to stop chasing your destiny. Sometimes you must realize that there’s nothing more you can do to move the dial in the direction of your desires. If you’re brave enough to let go and you’re able to find your faith in the stillness, your destiny can finally begin to unfold before you. The truth about your destiny is that it won’t miss you in the end. You might be able to delay it with worry and doubt, and you might make choices that bring you around the long way, but your fate will find you eventually.
There is something to be said for taking divinely inspired action and doing all that you can do to a point. You’re the only one who can decide when you’ve done enough and it’s time to let life bring you to where you’re supposed to be going. Regardless of whether it’s in alignment with your plans. The bigger picture of your life path was created for you, and you might be surprised at how wonderful your future can be if you allow yourself to fall into it effortlessly. Even if you have to close your eyes faithfully as you plunge into the void to get there.
